For this reason, they are not suitable for stag and hen parties, or large groups of people who may be wanting to have louder gatherings, loud music and returning back late to the villas.

We recently returned from Villa Chico. Our ages were between 8 and 72.. We thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight at the villa, it was a lovely place and very clean. All of the rooms had an en suite except for one. Albufeira and the Algarve are beautiful. Carlos was really helpful and knows the area. Pool was great and the grounds are lovely.

Arrival instructions were clearly communicated and the cottage was equipped with every comfort.
Beds made and after the first week “house keeping” provided new linens and towels. Waste was disposed of every day and we didn’t need to do anything. Many thanks the ladies of house keeping.
Heated swimming pool in the October weeks was recommended despite the 26 degrees outside temperature and we enjoyed it.
All in all a great house and recommended for (young) families.
However, you do need to use your own car for transport to the sea and other attractions.
Jose Carlos (the host) has managed everything from start to finish during our 2 weeks stay and was even halfway through wondering if everything was to your liking. Jose thank you for what you did as a host. Super!

The stay went very well. Transfers and car rental indicated or managed by José, very responsive. Cleaning on arrival and Friday as indicated (possibly lacks a vacuum cleaner for occupants). Outdoor maintenance (lawn mowing, pool maintenance) carried out with the minimum inconvenience. Complete accommodation and attention at check-in.
In short, rental to recommend without worries and thank you again to José and his entire team.

Excellent value for money, in a great location, only a few minutes drive to Albufeira.
The property is spacious and de cluttered however still with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The beds were comfy and it is in a quite location. A good night sleep is guaranteed.
Jose is an excellent host, super responsive and very proactive. He even attended the property to provide excellent tips and local knowledge. His restaurant recommendations were on point.

Lovely villa, very child friendly!
We had a beautiful stay in October for 8 nights. The booking process was easy with good communication from the host who was very helpful and provided lots of useful information for our stay and was flexible on the arrival time which was a real help. Prior to the holiday we received instructions / directions etc, whilst most was helpful we were a little nervous about lots of reference to infractions which would lose you your deposit, as it turned out there was no issue and the villa management had just experienced some inconsiderate guests in the past. The villa itself was lovely, large rooms and no need to argue about who slept where as each bedroom was a good size with plenty of bathrooms to go around too. We found out stay comfortable and slept well although some of the other guests did mention the dogs barking from nearby houses through the night, nothing the owner can do about that. The villa was very clean, well kept and had all the things you would need including plenty of plates and glasses and a large fridge and freezer. The best part for us was how family friendly it is, there is a fence that runs around the property so little ones can play freely and be safe from the pool, although check first that they can’t master the handles…we had to do a little reinforcing for our little escape artist! The pool which is the feature of the property is varge large with easy access and a nice shallow end for little ones. The only issue was the pool was very cold, it did heat up as the day went on but it’s not heated (although the owner is planning on doing that next year) and that did limit our use. If you have smaller children I would recommend taking a wetsuit or fleece lined swim suit. The outside BBQ area was perfect and where we spent our evenings, had a few mozzies so don’t forget your spray. Location wise it’s a little out, everything is around 15mins away so best to have a car although Ubers were pretty cheap too. All in all a great villa at a good price. Book and enjoy, we did

Wonderful Stay
Stayed at this villa with my family of 5 adults. From the moment I booked until my arrival home, the communication has been top notch. Carlos called me as soon as I booked to discuss my visit. All through our stay, he gave us lots of recommendations of restaurants to try and things to do. Every suggestion was brilliant. He even made reservations for us. The villa itself was superb. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and also an extra toilet near the back door. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is so much room to spread out. The lounge and kitchen are big, plus there is so much outdoor space. There is a large table outside the back door and we ate there when we stayed in. The pool is superb and we all swam every day, sometimes twice. (The water was crystal clear)There is so much seating with the table and chairs and 10 loungers! What we particularly loved was the fact that the villa is not overlooked and felt very private, yet we were close to amenities. The location is fantastic and close to town and supermarkets. We loved our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this villa!

Séjour impeccable
Tout est comme décrit dans l’annonce. Une grande piscine, une grande table dehors permettant des repas conviviaux. Par contre villa interdit aux animaux et 2 chiens étaient souvent dans le jardin. Pour ce que l’on recherchais pour notre séjour la villa était très bien. Je tiens à préciser que le propriétaire est très accessible, il reponds très rapidement. Nous sommes très contents de notre séjour nous reviendrons.

Espaço da piscina espectacular
Toda a familia se divertiu e gostou muito da villa Chico. O espaço da piscina é muito bom. À noite no terraço, víamos as estrelas cadentes. A zona do barbecue está muito boa, mesmo ao lado da cozinha e a mesa é enorme e o espaço abrigado. Os quartos são grandes e todos com ar condicionado e 3 deles têm wc. Pena não terem todos. Atenção ao piso à volta da piscina pois com os pés molhados fica escorregadio. Muito agradável esta villa Chico!

Perfect villa and location.
I stayed at Villa Chico, Albufeira with my granddaughters. The villa was cleaned to a very high standard, both inside and outside and the pool and garden attended to by the couple next door – who were very helpful. The villa is situated approximately 20 mins from restaurant and a well stocked supermarket. Further on, all in walking distance is a park, suitable for children and adults, the Old Town with lots of interesting shops, and then the beach which was extremely clean. The villa was easy to book, lots of helpful information from the manager and we will be returning again.

We had 2 fantastic weeks in villa chico excellent child friendly villa with loads of outside space with a lovely large pool, it is kept in immaculate condition inside and outside and a real pleasure to stay in, I will definitely be booking again next year with this company as I have done for the last 5 years and Carlos is and always has been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, thanks Carlos and I will look forward to next year

Glorious relaxed fortnight in lovely villa
We (6 adults) had a wonderful fortnight in this lovely Villa; the kitchen is really well equipped and we enjoyed using the outdoor eating area and very efficient barbecue. The large pool is amazing and the pool man came early every morning to attend to it. We only used the sitting room once or twice and were able to sign in to Netflix easily on the large TV. The gardens around the property are really lovely and very well kept with beautiful shrubs like hibiscus and roses. We would happily return – thank you!

Perfecte vakantie
Mooie ruime en schone villa. Elke kamer een eigen badkamer was echt een luxe. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en het zwembad is heerlijk. De locatie is gunstig, dicht bij de snelweg en 30 minuten van de zee. Carlos reageert snel als je vragen hebt en de vrouw die de villa beheerd heeft halverwege de week schone handdoeken opgehangen en de lege flessen opgeruimd. Wat een service! We hebben een heerlijke week gehad, met veel zon en rust. De perfecte vakantie!

Just got back from a fabulous 8 nights in this lovely villa . The house was very spacious for our party of 10 with everything we could possibly need & more ! The pool area is beautifully maintained with lots of space for outdoor entertaining. The area is peaceful and quiet but close to shops & restaurants. We would definitely return again in the future . This villa is in a small community right in the countryside, but with easy access to super markets, shops and restaurants. It is well placed for main roads for sightseeing the rest of the algarve. There are a number of country lanes for peaceful walking direct from the villa. The villa itself is comfortable and homely and has everything needed to ensure a good holiday.It is very clean and everything is of a good standard. Outside; the pool area is superb with plenty of room for sunbathing and eating. there is also a covered eating area with a table suitable for a large family. Would certainly recommend it for anyone who wants to be away from the hustle and bustle.

family holiday at villa chico
we had a wonderful stay at villa chico,very relaxing very private. big pool which we all enjoyed,9 people went and all enjoyed.all bedrooms very good,bbq area excellent.hugo our taxi driver excellent nothing was to much trouble,walk into town was aprox 15 min which was a lovely walk.carlos our host was very accomodating always a phone call away and very pleasent.we would return again no problem.don’t miss out on this beautiful villa

Excellent villa very well equipped great pool can’t praise it enough
Villa was excellent great size of rooms very spacious kitchen and eating area bbq was excellent and well positioned. Pool and surroundings were first class plenty of room to sunbathe and recliners were very good good mixture of seating with table and parasol. Only down side and it is a very small down side no instructions on how to get to channels but kids can use DVD player. Overall I would recommend this villa for a family holiday to everybody. A car would be useful but not essential we managed without one.

Super genoten in deze geweldige villa
Deze prachtige villa heeft ons positief verrast. Zo netjes onderhouden, ook de tuin. Alle kamers, de keuken, het zwembad (eindelijk een zwembad waarin je echt baantjes kan trekken). Gecombineerd met het heerlijke weer was het een onvergetelijke vakantie. Volledige privacy maar toch dicht bij grote winkels en leuke restaurantjes. Al is een auto zeer aan te raden. Wij zaten hier samen voor een week maar deze villa is zeer geschikt voor een grotere groep.

Fantastic villa, everything we hoped for and more!
We have just returned from a week at Villa Chico having had a fantastic holiday. From booking to the return of our deposit, the service has been seamless. Villa Chico is situated about 5km outside of Albufeira, a little off the beaten track but very accessible to local amenities with a hire car or a fabulous taxi service from Hugo and Jose. The villa itself is stunning and beautifully clean with large airy rooms, fanastically equipped with everything you could possibly need. The large pool is immaculate and was cleaned daily throughout our stay. There is a lawned area with shade from trees, an undercover eating area with bbq and lovely gardens front and back. There are local shops 1km from the villa with a supermarket, restaurant etc and a bus stop with very reasonably priced fares (1.40 euros). For lovely traditional Portuguese food, We would highly recommend Restaurant Verde Minho, a few minutes walk from the villa. To be objective, the only slight negative is that the mattresses and pillows are very firm which does not suit everyone. Overall, an amazing holiday. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of town but close enough to enjoy all the facilities. We would definately come back again.

We have just returned from a week at Villa Chico having had a fantastic holiday. From booking to the return of our deposit, the service has been seamless. Stunning Villa
My husbands sister and her family visited us from the USA and this was our first holiday together. We definitely weren’t disappointed!! The Villa had 4 large bedrooms, 3 with en suite. A beautiful pool which was cleaned each morning. The 2 kids aged 6 and 5, were very happy with it. The front and back garden were very well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped including a very large fridge, stand alone freezer. We had a small problem with the dishwasher, I emailed Carlos and within 2 hours of sending, the owners were sorting it, excellent customer service. The lounge was furnished to a high standard, but we really didn’t use it. AC in each bedroom, and even though we stayed June/July, we didn’t need to use it. From my first enquiry to my deposit being returned, Carlos was nothing but helpful. Hugo, our taxi driver was also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this villa for your stay in Portugal. It isn’t really within walking distance of anywhere, but with Hugo on hand, this wasn’t a problem.

In addition to my previous review………….
I just wanted to add a little footnote to my previous review. Carlos, from Portugala, was an absolute star. His help and assistance was invaluable. We knew exactly where we were, where to go, how to get there and the list again just goes on and on…… Hugo, from Algarve Inn, collected us from the Airport, and was on call for us throughout the holiday. He made sure we went to the best value Supermarkets for our food and alcohol supplies!!!! He also made sure that we were picked up from wherever we went in the evenings and that we were safely delivered back to the Villa. In fact, he would not drive away from the Villa until we were all safely inside and the gates were closed!!! Money can’t buy that kind of service!!! Thank you Carlos and Hugoxxx

Myself and five of my friends, all 50+!! have recently returned from an absolutely fantastic week at Villa Chico. This was our first holiday together in a Villa, having previously stayed at a number of the four and five star hotels in and around Albufeira. We certainly were not disappointed!! The Villa was beautiful, both inside and out, providing first class facilities, with four bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped with every conceivable gadget you could think of, including a large fridge, stand alone freezer, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, toasted sandwich maker, juicer, and the list just goes on and on….. The owners provided an excellent customer service and it was most comforting to know that they were situated in close proximity to the Villa. The lounge was furnished most luxuriously, with a large flat screen TV, although being sun worshippers and night life chasers, we did not really make much use of it. The swimming pool and surrounding gardens were stunning, and were kept immaculately clean and tidy throughout our stay. The Managing Agent, Carlos, provided us with an excellent service from booking to return of deposit, for which we are most grateful. We are already talking about a return trip – Can’t wait!!
