Description: The MS Invicta (MS Douro Princess) has 40 well decorated twin cabins with air conditioning, heating,TV, bathroom with shower and wc, facing outwards ,spread over two decks, the 24 Upper Deck Deluxe Cabins have a large picture window and the beds can be combined. The 16 Main Deck Cabins, are bigger, with fixed beds, and have a much smaller window.
In the Douro deck there is the restaurant, bar, lounge, galley and reception. Other on board facilities include a sun deck and a gift shop, fully air conditioned. The vessel meets all the rigorous requirements of the European Navigation Inspectorate. The currency on board is the Euro. Visa, American Express,and Euro Travellers Cheques are accepted.
DAY 1 (FRIDAY) - Check in at Vila Nova de Gaia Quay in Oporto. Dinner on board, depending on time of the arrival and overnight on the INVICTA ( Douro Princess).
DAY 2 (SATURDAY) - Breakfast on board with (Optional Half Day Coach Tour of Oporto City). Followed by departure to Bitetos, crossing the Carrapatelo Dam and flood gate. Lunch on board. Upon arrival at Bitetos. Dinner at the Alpendurada Monastery. Overnight on board in Bitetos.
DAY 3 (SUNDAY) - Breakfast. Departure for Regua. Upon arrival at Regua (Optional Tour tp Mateus Palace). Boat departs for Pinhao. Return to boat at Pinhao. Dinner and overnight on board in Pinhao.
DAY 4 (MONDAY) - Breakfast. Free morning. Visit to the Wine Academy. Departure to Vega Verron. Lunch and dinner on board.Flamenco show on board, and overnight in Spain
DAY 5 (TUESDAY) - Breakfast on board. (Optional Tour to Salamanca with spanish lunch, and guided tour of historical site with free time to explore and shop). For passengers remaining on board there will be the normal activities. Approx. 20.00 hrs, dinner on board. Overnight on board in Barca D" Alva.
DAY 6 (WEDNESDAY) - Cruise to Pinhao, passing three dams. Optional Excursion tour the the medieval town of Figueira Castelo Rodrigo). Whilst the boat continues downstream to Pinhao. Lunch on board. Dinner and traditional Portuguese show on board. Overnight on board in Pinhao.
DAY 7 (THURSDAY) - Breakfast on board. Arrival at Regua, ( Optional Tour to Lamego town, with the ancient Barroque Renaissence and 12th century church and cathedral. Climb seemingly endless decorated staircase to the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remedios with spectacular views). Lunch on board and departure for Departure for Oporto. Sailing towards the mouth of the Douro River and Oporto's Ribeira, a World Heritage Site. Lunch on board. Farewell cocktail, dinner and overnight at Vila Nova de Gaia, Oporto.
DAY 8 (FRIDAY) - Breakfast from 08.00 hours and check out.
