Description: A 7 night unaccompanied itinerary allowing you to experience the beauty of this island. Suitable for the fit and experienced bike rider.DAY ONE - Arrive on São Miguel and transfer to Solar do Conde apartments in Capelas for 2 nights. DAY TWO - Bikes delivered and you will be briefed before your first 20 km ride on plain stretch. DAY THREE - Solar do conde/Furnas 45 km ride. First part along a plain Stretch, followed by a steep 5 km hillclimb to Furnas. 3 night stay at Terra Nostra Hotel. DAY FOUR - Furnas - Approx 25 km ride visiting Furnas Lake and a typical fishing village, Ribeira Quente, where a sea swim will refresh. DAY FIVE - Have a rest or experience a hilly ride to visit Salto do Cavalo, This tour has many accentuated uphill and downhill stretches. DAY SIX - Furnas/P.Delgada 45 km Tour by south coast, starts uphill long 3kms, the remaining is easyride downwards. Some hill rides over the northern coast to Ponta Delgada. 2 nights Hotel Canadianor or similar. DAY SEVEN - 40 km mainly downhill, but some hill climbs, visiting Sete Cidades Lakes.DAY EIGHT - Transfer to airport.
Price will include the hire of the bike, hotels on B/B basis, arrival and departure transfer, Island map and detailed itinerary. Inner hotel luggage transportation is included and assistance when required. A bag and 1 puncture repair kit per couple.
