Description:  DAY 1 - Departure from Park Eduardo VII in Lisbon and hotels. Coach tour starts at 09:00 on Sat ( Apr-Oct ), Sat ( Nov-Mar ), ( pick-up from chosen Lisbon City hotel ).
Northward to OBIDOS a medieval symbol of narrow streets surrounded by walls. Further on the fishing port of NAZARE Architectural landmarks, the Monasteries of BATALHA and ALCOBACA reflect the faith that brings thousands of pilgrims to FATIMA. Overnight stay in LEIRIA - city of canals.
DAY 2 - A return to Roman occupation with a visit to CONIMBRIGA and the Roman ruins. Onwards to COIMBRA, the university town to discover the old traditions. Visit the beautiful forest of BUSSACO, then on to AVEIRO ( view of Salterns with stop in centre ). Overnight in OPORTO.
DAY 3 - OPORTO is the 2nd city of Portugal and a world heritage by UNESCO - a living amphitheatre inviting us to make a morning visit to discover the riverside area, old houses, palaces, chuches that history has made eternal and Port wine, known worldwide. Afternoon free.
DAY 4 - MINHO, the northwest province of Portugal, visits to GUIMARAES, birthplace of the nation - stop at Colina Sagrada, Castle and Palace of Dukes of Braganca. BRAGA, city of archbishops and the country`s religious capital, with the oldest cathedral in Portugal including the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Braga with its monumental baroque staircase. Oporto dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5 - Depart through a landscape speckled with granite houses with wooden or wrought-iron balconies, we enter the Port Wine region - the DOURO VALLEY - by way of AMARANTE and VILA REAL. In the mountainous lies, VISEU - a city of warriors and painters. URGEIRICA - Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6 - Drive to the heart of Portugal. Experience the beauty of the ESTRELA MOUNTAIN ( Serra da Estrela ), the highest point of the Country ( wheather conditions permitting ), a world of shepherds and their flocks, famous for its cheese, is reflected in its snow and harsh irregular landscape. CASTELO BRANCO, with its gardens and embroidered quilts on to the famous staircase of the kings, then on to the beautiful CASTELO de VIDE proud of its Jewish Quarter of whitewashed houses. CASTELO de VIDE - dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 7 - Going southward we will find hills and extensive green and gold plains towards ESTREMOZ and its marble quarries. EVORA, a living museum of tradition and history, handicrafts and gastronomy. Return to LISBON.
